Notes:
Larry Hennington played a major role in developing NSSL’s color displays.
Here he is with Don Burgess in front to the Ling Computer. In 1973 the
decision was made to develop the autocovariance estimator (i.e., the pulse
pair processor that uses both amplitude and phase information to calculate
the Doppler shift). This PPP was again designed and built by Dale Sirmans
and his technician Glen Anderson and served NSSL for many years.
