KTLX reflectivity images from January 23, 2003. Snow flurries were reaching the ground in Norman during the times the following images are valid. Notice the banded nature of the reflectivity returns. The 88D was operating in precipitation mode rather than clear-air so the reflectivity images will not be as impressive as those in the Southeast later in the day showing much more spectacular returns associated with horizontal covective rolls producing snow.
