Denver, CO, Miniature, Rotating Storms

EXPLANATION:

Significant storm activity peaked around this time. Three small cells are along a line extending southeast from the radar. Each cell has a circulation detected by the MDA, although only two are displayed. There is a circulation on the small cell just northeast of the Arapahoe county label, but the circulation has a strength rank zero. It is not displayed until it strengthens on the next radar volume.

Meso #84 was diagnosed as a Rank 3 Lowtop. The four panel display below reveals a distinct hook echo aloft with this storm. Hook shapes also appear in the other two storms, but with less definition. No severe weather was officially reported, but some hail or strong winds may have eluded the spotter network.
