A minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) came available at OU beginning in the Fall semester 2009. This is the first minor in Engineering at OU. It allows non-majoring students to augment their own programs of study with 19-hours of ECE courses. With proper choices in their own program the ECE minor can gain significant depth including 4000-level electives. Elective choices allow students to focus in one of a number of ECE research areas that complement their primary degree: Signal Processing, Solid State Devices, Electronics, Bio-Engineering, and Microwaves to name a few. This presentation will review the requirements for the degree and the strategic choices that can lead to broadening typical interests for students in Physics, Mathematics and Meteorology.
