News Statement: NOAA, Oar Provide Funds to Replace Research Equipment Destroyed by Fire

Note: Dr. T. H. Lee Williams, Vice President of Research, University of Oklahoma, announced this morning the University is likely to recover their losses on shared research equipment through insurance, President Boren and other sources.

Late July 2001
Completed calculations show the total for damage and recovery to be $2.16 million. This figure includes replacement of instrument components and labor to recreate the unique research equipment described below.
